Biography

Thodoris Theodoroudis (b. 2000, Athens) is a guitarist and composer based in Thessaloniki, Greece. His artistic identity is shaped equally by performance and composition, through a continuous dialogue between them.

He studied at the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia, specializing in guitar under Elena Papandreou (2023). He holds a Diploma in Composition (class of Ilias Nikolaidis, Orion Conservatory, 2025), as well as a Degree and a Diploma in Guitar (class of Elena Papandreou). He has also studied advanced theoretical subjects (Harmony, Counterpoint, Fugue). 

As a guitarist, he has performed in major concert halls in Greece, including the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. In 2023, he made his concerto debut, performing as a soloist with Camerata Junior. He also actively collaborates with composers, contributing to the expansion of the guitar repertoire. He has received numerous distinctions in international and national competitions, winning prizes in guitar festivals across Europe.

As a composer, his works have been performed in Greece, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium, the United States, and Iran by distinguished musicians and ensembles. He has received awards in international composition competitions, with works for solo instruments and chamber music.

• 2nd Composition Competition "Anamochlefsis" (Greece 2025), with the piece "Frost" for string quartet (2nd prize)
• 1st Composition Competition (Call for Scores) at Patras' Conservatory (Greece 2024), with the piece "Inroad" for violin & percussion
• Call for scores for the 70 years of The Friends of Music Society (Megaron – Athens Concert Hall), with the piece "9#" for solo piano
• 9th Composition Competition "Dimitris Dragatakis" (Greece 2022), with the piece "The Chase" for solo viola (3rd prize)
• Dutch Guitar Foundation (Netherlands 2022), with the piece "Images from a Sea" for solo guitar ("Siccas" prize) 
• An Art Artistry (Greece 2017), with the piece "The Sky Wasn't" for solo guitar

He has participated in masterclasses with esteemed soloists such as Oscar Ghiglia, Roland Dyens, Gabriel Bianco, Thomas Müller-Pering, Judicael Perroy, Suzanna Prieto, Jerry Willard, Marco Tamayo, Evangelos Assimakopoulos, Fotis Koutsothodoros, Alexis Mouzourakis and Menelaos-Dimitris Kountouras.

Thodoris plays with a 'Vasilis Vasileiadis' double-top guitar.
